Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the global gateway to the most visited destination in the country. To better serve the needs of the diverse Central Florida community and the demands of projected passenger growth, MCO has opened an entirely new terminal.
Terminal C has 15 gates capable of accommodating up to 20 aircraft serving both domestic and international airlines. Aer Lingus, Azul, British Airways, Caribbean, Emirates, Gol, Icelandair, JetBlue, Lufthansa and Norse operate out of the new terminal.
Terminal C provides an exceptional passenger experience including a combination of local flavors and national brands, engaging shopping experiences and experiential media displays.
Local flavors are provided by several Central Florida brands including, Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co., Provisions by Cask & Larder, Cucina & Co., Orlando Brewing Bar & Bites, Wine Bar George, Olde Hearth Bread Co., Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith, Orange County Brewers, Raw Juce, and Cask & Larder Public House.
For travelers looking to disconnect from it all before boarding their flight, the Plaza Premium Lounge is the ultimate go-to-spot. The lounge, managed by one of the leading global independent lounge operators, features a dedicated area for families, a restaurant and bar, and quiet spaces for business travelers.
TRAIN STATION
The Train Station consists of approximately 1.3 million square feet of terminal space accommodating the South Automated People Mover (APM) Station and up to three regional rail systems (SunRail commuter rail, BrightLine inter-city rail, and possibly a third system serving the International Drive/Convention Center area). It also supports ground transportation activity including taxis, shuttle buses and public bus operations.
SunRail currently operates over a 49 mile system with 16 stations through Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties, and a bus link to MCO. The direct rail link to MCO is a priority for the City of Orlando and the airport, and although no date has been published, it is part of the future development plans for SunRail.
Brightline offers from MCO Orlando Station, service stops to South Florida destinations: W. Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Aventura and Miami.
SOUTH Terminal Link (AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER (APM)) STATION
Interior View of the South Terminal Link (APM) Station The South Airport Terminal Link (Automated People Mover (APM)) Station opened in November 2017. It is a 200,000 square feet facility, includes the station for the Terminal Link (APM) which connects passengers to Terminals A & B, similar to those that connect the Terminals A & B to Gates 1-129. The ride provides scenic views of the airfield, gates 70-99 and the Air Traffic Control Tower on its 4-minute journey. The station in Terminals A & B is on Level 3, between the security checkpoint for Gates 70-129 and the Terminal B airline check-in desks.
PARKING GARAGE C
Parking Garage “C” is located on the South Entrance Road adjacent to the South Terminal Link (Automated People Mover (APM)) Station and features 1,690 parking spaces and remote check-in facilities for domestic flights on Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United (Domestic flights only, minimum of 90 minutes before departure, available between 6:00 am and 2:00 pm).

Surface Lots
The surface lots are right near the Brightline Train Station and are within walking distance of Terminal C, but is also convenient if flying in and out of Terminals A and B, which is accessed via a walk through the Train Station and 4-minute Terminal Link (APM) ride.
TERMINAL C
Passengers arriving on international flights into Terminal C also experience some enhancements. After exiting the aircraft, passengers enter the terminal on the top floor, surrounded by space, natural lighting and expansive views across the airfield. The terminal is also a U.S. Custom and Border Protection “Bags First” facility, in which passengers arriving from an international destination claim their baggage before proceeding to passport control, where biometric technology will confirm identity and documentation, improving efficiency, safety and convenience during the arrivals process.
Terminal C is also adjacent to MCO’s integrated rail-air-ground transportation hub with Brightline inter-city rail service to south Florida.
Innovative technological and customer convenience features in Terminal C include:
- Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) Tote Baggage Handling System for efficient tracking and expedited checked baggage delivery
- Early Bag Storage robotic system with 1,800 bag capacity – MCO is the only airport in the world to deploy the full system
- Virtual Ramp Control system for airline aircraft operations
- Large-scale interactive digital media displays will provide immersive, high definition visual experiences
