North Terminal Renovations
BACKGROUND
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) is committed to enhancing the look and feel of Orlando International Airport (MCO) into the next decade.
Following the “People” pillar, the Aviation Authority is moving forward with plans to renovate the interiors at Airsides 1 & 3 along with the interior renovation of Levels 2 & 3 at Terminals A & B.
In the spirit of major renovations to the landside Terminals A & B in 2018 and the completion of Terminal C in 2022, the Authority’s goal now is to bring the remaining facilities up to those elevated standards. The scope will consist of the design and construction of Landside and Airside interior renovation, and will include new flooring, new wall finishes, and new ceilings with lighting improvements. The existing restrooms at all four Airsides of the A & B Terminals will also be refurbished to meet the new elevated standard set in Terminal C.

PROGRAM FACTS: Terminal A & B Interior Renovation for Landside, Levels 2 & 3, are included in the future program.
Airside Restroom Renovation
Restrooms at all four Airsides will be renovated as well as additional restrooms built where able. The goal is to improve the passenger experience by renovating and expanding the existing restrooms to provide additional capacity to meet the current and anticipated future passenger demands. Projected timeline:
- Design Start September 2025
- Construction Start Winter 2026
- Substantial Completion 2029
Airside 1 & 3 Interior Refurbishment
The goal is to improve the passenger experience by providing new contemporary interior finishes, seating, wayfinding, gate counters, and lighting improvements to the two original Airsides serving Gates 1-59. Projected timeline:
- Anticipated Design Start 2026
- Anticipated Construction Start 2027
- Anticipated Substantial Completion 2030
